-Chapter One
One year later
“I’m coming,” he yelled as he opened the door. He stopped and stared, “Who’re you?""We are part of the FBI."
“What are you doing here then?”
“We are looking for a man named Seres Nightblade. Do you know him?”
“Ah, that would be me,” he said, “Now waddya want?”
“We want to talk to you about your brother”
“Haven’t seen him in 15 years, talk to somebody else,” Seres growled.
“Ok, then we’d like to talk to you about your involvement in the Angel project.”
Seres looked at him, “come in then”
He led the way into his purple colored kitchen.
“Wow, you sure like purple,” said a red haired man Seres had not noticed before.
“Anything wrong with that!?”
“It’s different”
“You people want anything to drink?”
“No thank you,” said the man in sunglasses.
‘He seems to be the one in charge,’ Seres thought, out loud he said, “You sure?”
“Yes.”
“Take a seat then,” Seres invited, gesturing to the green, round table in the middle of the kitchen.
They all sat and the man in sunglasses stated the reason why they were knocking on Seres’s doorstep at 3:00 in the morning.
“There have been some recent developments in the subjects involved in the Angel project,” he began.
“Yeah, yeah, just get to the point.”
“Well, Mr. Nightblade seeing as two of the subjects are dead, and two of them have gone insane, and the third has disappeared, the federal government has decided to keep an eye on you.”
“What’s that supposed to mean!?”
“What it means is that Zane here will stay with you for a while.”
“What!?” Zane also looked surprised, as if he had not expected it.
“You heard me”
“He is not staying with me!”
“It’s orders”
“No way!”
“Do you want to go back to the Angel project Mr. Nightblade?”
Seres frowned, “No, but he is not staying with me!”
“If you don’t let him, you will have to go back to the project then”
Seres looked away, “Fine”
“We will talk to you tomorrow then.”
“Oh and by the way,” the man in sunglasses said at the door, “the FBI will be bugging your house too.”
“What,” Seres yelled, but they were already gone.
